Beginners with good fitness
When to go
April to September
This adventure takes place near Wasdale Head (Cumbria), a small village in the heart of Lake District National Park, surrounded by some of England’s highest and most breathtaking mountains. If you’re looking for an outdoor challenge with the opportunity to learn mountaineering skills, then this is for you.
On the day you can expect your guide to meet you at 8.00am in Wasdale Head. From there you will set off on your adventure.
Surrounded by peaks there are a number of excellent high mountain routes to undertake, depending on the group's fitness and desires. A possible itinerary is to do a great big loop taking in the peaks of Haycock, Scoat Fell, Steeple, Pillar and Kirk Fell, all in one epic 10 hour day. You'll be left feeling mighty satisfied (and knackered) after this one. Certainly a well earnt pint will be had that night!
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to organise and requires minimal kit and moderate fitness.
We recommend you first send the guide a booking request to agree a date. Then book your accommodation. Adventure sorted!

Optional extras include booking additional days to ascend further summits (ask the guide).

Thank you so much for your kindness and support in Yorkshire on Saturday. I'm sorry for having been so high-maintenance! My descent from Ingleborough was very slow and painful, but I arrived back in Horton as darkness fell with a huge sense of achievement, and having raised £1000 for The Children's Society. Thank you very much for making that possible.
What a great day the men had on the 21st, no they didn't get to the summit but Verity was doing her job and keeping everyone safe, and no it hasn't put them off having another go at the summit some other time.
You definitely kicked my ass on Blencathra today, insane weather but still a great view… mental. And a speedy descent.
