When to go
All year round
This adventure takes place near Aviemore (Highlands), a stunning town and resort, well known for it's beautiful scenery and activities in the Cairngorm National Park. If you’re looking for a classic biking and camping experience, then a two day bikepacking adventure into the Cairngorms is a must. Escape into the wilderness and enjoy sporty trail riding!
On the first day you will meet your guide in Aviemore at 9.00am and go through the gear for your expedition. Then its time to head off. Riding a variety of terrain with superb single tracks, you will head into the heart of the National Park, away from civilization.
After some 15-20km of journeying, you'll find your wild camp location for the night and set up your bivvys. Check out the amazing stars!
The following morning you'll break camp after a wee breakfast and hot tea. Leaving no trace, you'll head back to Aviemore where the delights of a big meal in a cafe await.
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to organize and requires minimal kit. We recommend you contact the guide to agree a date. Adventure sorted!
Andy Toop is the ultimate outdoorsman who lives and breathes cycling. His childhood was spent escaping his home town of Dudley to explore North Wales and hone his MTB skills. After a stint in the army he moved to Scotland and began work in the outdoor education sector. This career path has given him a world of experience and really fanned the flames of adventure and his ambition to help others explore wild places. Andy aims to deliver unique experiences, with a high mountain top looking down to the glacial glen of an emerald green loch. He will help you develop the extra skills needed to explore your own mountains how ever big or small.

How to get there
Car to Aviemore
London to Aviemore takes around 9 hours 30 mins driving via the M6.
Plane to Aviemore
There are flights to Inverness from most London airports and then hire a car or take the bus, its around 40 mins drive or 35 mins by train to Aviemore.
Train to Aviemore
London Euston or London Kings Cross to Aviemore takes around 7 hours 30 min. There are some direct trains and others that change at Edinburgh Waverley.
