When to go
All year round
This adventure takes place near Fort William (Highlands), a popular town at the foot of Ben Nevis, widely known as the 'outdoor' capital of the UK. If you’re looking for a fun day out of rock climbing, then this is definitely for you. Plenty of adrenaline, excitement and fresh air!
On the day you can expect your guide to meet you in Fort William or your accommodation at 9.00am. You will check over your gear and then set off to the mountains. Let the adventure begin! You'll be climbing some stunning rocky cliffs and quite literally learning the ropes of outdoor climbing.
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to organise and requires minimal kit or fitness. We recommend you first contact the guide to agree a date. Then book your accommodation. Adventure sorted!
Robert Michael Lovell
Robert Lovell is an expert in organising mountain challenges. As a Mountain Leader, he got into exploring at a young age and now pretty much all his spare time is dedicated to mountaineering. The sense of adventure, wilderness and freedom that he feels in Scotland is a feeling he wants to share with others. Robert currently lives in Newcastle with his wife Bex; so he spends the summer cragging across the UK and the winter travelling up to Scotland for mountaineering adventures, with the occasional expedition abroad thrown in. He has too many brilliant trips and days out to name a single favourite - put simply he loves being outdoors and challenging his clients.
Optional extras include further days of climbing (ask the guide).
Wear outdoor clothing and bring climbing shoes if you have some. The guide will provide the technical kit, like harnesses and ropes.
Please note you have to be 18 years or over to book this adventure (unless accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Really useful, fun weekend. Rob shared a huge amount of knowledge and set us up with basic winter skills, improved my confidence so I felt able to safely manage a winter hill route by myself the following weekend. Brilliant course. Thank you Rob.
