When to go
All year round
This adventure takes place in Caithness (North Scotland), a county of dramatic scenery, with beautiful cliffs and beaches. If you’re looking for the ultimate fishing adventure package, then a trip up to Caithness for world class sea fishing is a must. You will develop your skills in seldom fished wild locations. Kit, travel and accommodation are all included, so all you need is an adventurous spirit!
On the first day you can expect your guide to pick you up from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness. You will then drive to the North West entering an untouched, ancient landscape. Arriving at the coast you'll walk through moorland for some 50 minutes to reach a stunning secluded spot. There you'll setup and get straight into the fishing.
You'll be shown effective casting techniques and on how to fish with lures and spinning rods for bass, pollock, sea trout, wrasse and cod. The pollock is one of Scotland’s hardest fighting fish and its strength and tenacity rivals any sport fish worldwide. There are many marks on the west coast that will produce fish averaging 5lbs in weight. Catching these powerful fish on a fly rod or light spinning rod is exhilarating.
Accommodation for one night is included. To compliment your two wild days of fishing, the guide will serve an al-fresco delicious lunch using locally sourced ingredients.
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s a truly world class fishing package. With everything included all you have to do is turn up. This is not for the faint hearted. There are distances to travel, however the rewards are high and the scenery mind-blowing.
We recommend you first send the guide a booking request. Then the guide will contact you to agree the date. Adventure sorted!

Where to stay
I booked two days with Stewart and explained I was looking for an experience that was adventurous and on the edge. I also wanted to experience the scenery in the Highlands. Stewart picked me up at 5am in Edinburgh and we drove to the North of Scotland near Tongue where we spent two exhilarating days shore fishing for Pollock with both fly and spinning rod. The weather was wild, but Stewart knew the spots to choose according to the wind direction…we kept moving to different spots and every spot we arrived at produced fish, the biggest was about 8 pound and one of the hardest fighting fish I have ever experienced. It was fantastic. Stewart was great company over the two days the hotel he booked for us was just perfect..his attention to detail and planning has to be commended and the tackle was first class. A highly recommended guide if you're coming to Scotland, book this guy.
