When to go
April to September (weekends only)
This adventure takes place in Arrochar (Highlands), a picturesque village located within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. If you’re looking for a challenging six hours of walking, then an ascent of the Cobbler and Ben Narnain are a must.
On the first day you can expect your guide to meet you at your accommodation at 9.00am. From there you will set off to ascend the Cobbler, via a famous track used by mountaineers for their training.
Along the way you’ll be treated to amazing views of Loch Long, with opportunities for stunning photos. A final ridge will lead you to the summit. If the group is fit enough then an ascent of Ben Narnain can also be thrown in. The return leg will see you negotiate a gentle ridge, before arriving back at your start point. A successful walk must be followed by a visit to the cosy local pub!
On the second day the guide will suggest a number of options, from gentle valley walks to discover the local history of the area or more sporty options such as an ascent of the iconic Ben Lomond nearby. All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to organize and requires minimal kit and moderate fitness.
We recommend you first contact the guide to agree a date, then book your accommodation. Adventure sorted!
