Beginners with good fitness
When to go
All year round (weekends only)
This adventure takes place near Crickhowell (Wales), a historic picturesque town. If you’re looking for a gentle 7 hour walk, with plenty of fresh air, then this a great option for you.
On the day you can expect your guide to meet you at 9.00am at your accommodation. You will then drive to your walk start point. Let the adventure begin.
Ascending the iconic Table Mountain, you'll look down on the surrounding valleys. You'll pass an ancient hill fort (ask the guide for a story) and you'll use a mountain pathway taking you right through this open wilderness. There may be further minor detours on the way to visit interesting and sometimes unknown features that many just walk on by without noticing.
All walks are circular and start and end at an appropriate car park (car park fees vary) and will usually last around 6 to 7 hours. You' have a well earnt tea in a pub at the end, a local favourite being The Bear.
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to travel to. It's also very easy to organise and requires minimal kit or fitness.
We recommend you first send the guide a booking request to agree a date. Then book your accommodation. Adventure sorted!

My wife and I have had the pleasure of joining Dorian on a number of guided and well organised walks. Neither of us were particularly experienced walkers and we both have varied degrees of ability but Dorian has always been able to find a good route and had a plan to cater for us both so that we could enjoy our time together. Dorian always had the route mapped out and was able to show us how the walk would take shape both in time, distance, elevation and difficulty of each stage and also points of interest along the way, including of course planned breaks! He has always ensured that we are suitably equipped and carries spare equipment, water and emergency rations in case of need which we thought was very professional. He himself is always well equipped with detailed maps and GPS. In summary, Dorian is a very experienced guide and has excellent knowledge in his field and the walks he guides. With lots of local interest and information provided along the way he provides a safe and highly enjoyable service when out walking and we look forward to our next trip!
