When to go
All year round
We happen to have some pretty nifty kayak fishing instructors on the team so you're in the best hands to try and catch your lunch or dinner. We’ll be fishing off the kayaks using handlines for delicious fresh fish such as black bream, seabass and mackerel. We will pause along the way to identify and collect edible plants and seaweeds to go with any catch we may be lucky enough to hook!
Our trusty kayaks allow us to get access to the wonderful creeks, islands and chalky stacks that are host to a whole array of wild edibles. Hop aboard a Fore adventure to source your supper with us by kayaking, fishing and foraging for the ingredients you need. We run half days or full days where you get to cook up a fantastic feast alfresco with us and your new adventure companions on the beach.
This tour is suitable for age 12+ and will last for about 5 hours.
We normally schedule the Kayak, Fish & Forage trips to either leave in the morning (9.30am) or early afternoon (1.30pm) - depending on the tides. Please submit a booking request and we'll get back to you specific times for your choosen dates.
If you can't wait to take your catch home to cook, we can arrange a wild cooking session to cook up your fishy feast alfresco on the beach if you join in with the feasting element of the day by booking on our kayak, fish, forage & feast priced at £120pp.
Forage & Feast
Our passion for nature and all that it provides is celebrated in ernest throughout the year but it is with these four forage and feast events that coincide with the seasons that we really spread the love. Our hardworking and talented team pull together to forage for wild ingredients that are then lovingly handcrafted into a 3 course wild feast for you. Under canvas, under the stars or at our secret hideway beside the sea join us to learn about wild plants and how to create your own green goodies, you can be sure that you leave our handcrafted feast with tingling taste buds and happy hearts.
Our beautiful location in Dorset on Middle beach in Studland means we are the closest provider to Old Harry Rocks, a beautiful and iconic chalk stalk this ensures a scenic and sheltered journey to explore the sea stacks, caves and arches.

My wife and I had a great time on the Kayak Fish Forage and Feast adventure. Josh and Dan were great guides, very enthusiastic and helpful. Dan's foraging information was very interesting and I learnt a lot. The barbecue feast at the end was a brilliant way to finish the day, the food was amazing and big thanks to the chef and Jade for preparing the feast.
