Bored of traditional outdoor adventure activities and want to try out something different? How about a round of ‘climb the mine’—the only adventure programme of its kind in the UK?
Our ‘climb the mine’ activity follows the original mine workings that workers used to follow in Borrowdale. Experience vertical climbs and rope-bridge crossings. Go deep underground to explore magnificent caverns. Our experienced mine climbing instructors will train you in skills that were previously restricted to a few people. Climbing steep walls in underground chambers demand genuine mettle. Find out how early miners did this without the aid of modern safety equipment. The trip offers a rare glimpse into the working lives of early miners.
We are a group of passionate individuals whose sole motivation is to provide great outdoor adventure experience. Our programmes are designed to be fun-filled and exciting. Located in the Lake District, we ensure you enjoy every moment you spend with us.
