When to go
All year round
This adventure takes place near Rydal (Cumbria), a pretty market town at the heart of Lake District National park. This is the perfect activity for those seeking beautiful mountain views and a gentle five hours of walking.
On the day you can expect your guide to meet you at 9.00am at your accommodation or in Rydal centre.
From there you will set off on this magnificent circular ridge route, taking in 8 peaks, including Fairfield (873m). The views across the Lake District are breath-taking, making it a classic local walk. Your guide will share stories and local folk lore, giving you a unique insight into the history of this famous National Park.
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to organize and requires minimal kit or fitness. We recommend you first contact the guide to agree a date, then book your accommodation. Adventure sorted!

How to get there
Train to Rydal
London Euston to Oxenholme and then change for Windermere. Take the 555 bus to Rydal.
Car to Rydal
London to Rydal is a 5 hour drive via the M40 and M6. Leave the M6 at Junction 36 onto the A590.
Sean led me on a full day hike starting in Grasmere in the Lakes. Even though the weather and terrain was very mixed, I felt safe and Sean helped me with the more challenging aspects helping to motivate me! I was rewarded with spectacular views and an enormous sense of achievement.
