When to go
All year round
This adventure takes place near Llanberis (Wales), a stunning lakeside village at the at the foot of Snowdon, surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers. If you’re looking for a classic scrambling experience, then a crossing of the famous Y-Gribin Ridge is a must.
On the day you will meet your guide at 9.00am at the popular Ogwen Snack Bar, by the beautiful Lake Ogwen. You'll discuss the day ahead and then set off on your adventure.
You'll head straight up into mountains, with great viewpoints of mountains and valley. Picking the line of least resistance will bring you out to the ‘football pitch’ where the rocky crest of Y Gribin reveals itself. Here the scrambling begins!
Post summiting there will be opportunities to relax, have lunch and enjoy the stunning views. You'll finish the day back at the Ogwen Snack Bar after some six hours of sporty ascent.
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to organize and requires minimal kit. We recommend you first contact the guide to agree a date, then book your accommodation. Adventure sorted!
