When to go
All year round
This adventure takes place near Llanberis (Wales), a stunning lakeside village at the at the foot of Snowdon, surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers. If you’re looking to organise a group challenge, then an ascent of Snowdon is a great option and this guide has many years experience organising such an experience.
On the day you can expect your guide to meet you at 8.45am outside Snowdon Mountain Railway Station in Llanberis. You will then jump in a taxi to the agreed start point and begin your ascent of the great mountain. Along the way you’ll be treated to amazing views of summits and mountain lakes, with opportunities for stunning photos.
A final ridge will lead you to the summit. The return leg will see you walk down the famous Llanberis path, a gentle descent which leads you back into Llanberis.
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to organize (you start and finish in Llanberis) and it requires minimal kit and moderate fitness. To make your booking you'll need to pay up front and then the guide will contact you to confirm the date. We recommend you book more than 6 weeks in advance to guarantee the date.
You can book as a private group or you can book a place (£39) to join an open group. 2017 dates for open groups are below. Don't miss out!

We had a WONDERFUL day, Tim was excellent, very knowledgeable about the mountains and just a great guy with a fab personality. We all enjoyed ourselves tremendously and are planning our next trip

Thanks so much for all your help on Sunday it was very enjoyable and you made a challenging task all the more fun and educational. We will definitely let you know if we have any further questions or need help with our upcoming climbs.
Miners Track and Llanberis Path: it couldn’t have been better! Guide was outstanding – knowledgeable, organised, skilful and sensitive. This old man who hadn’t been up Snowdon for 17 years was enabled to cope, and the adventurous grandson given sufficient lease to enjoy but not endanger himself! And the conversations and verbal games were the icing on the cake. Kate, your guidance and support beforehand were invaluable – so glad we were able to meet. THANK YOU!
