Beginners with low fitness
When to go
April to September
This adventure takes place in Newquay (Cornwall), a popular seaside town perched on Atlantic cliffs and bordered by miles of glorious golden sandy beaches. If you’re looking for a great fun day out, then learning to surf waves in Newquay is a must.
On the day you you will meet your guide at their surf office in central Newquay. From there you will walk over to the beach with the best conditions on the day, usually Towan or Fistral.
After a quick little warm up, you'll learn the skills needed to ride waves and head into the surf to practice this fine art. There is nothing quite like riding that first wave, an overwhelming sensation you'll be chasing for the rest of your days!
All in all this is a fantastic option because it’s very easy to organise and requires minimal kit (all kit is included) or fitness.
We recommend you book now due to high demand. Then the guide will be in touch to confirm the date. Adventure sorted!

With a mixed group of all ages we had a great time surfing with the instructors. All of us had mixed feelings and weren't to sure on what to expect prior to the lesson! The instructors really took great care of each us and adapted our session to suit all ages. A great afternoon and well worth the money. Thanks J!
We had always wanted to learn how to surf and being in Newquay we could not pass the opportunity so we booked private lessons with J. J is an amazing instructor and was able to get us up and riding the waves in no time. He was very patient and interested in us learning the right techniques. Furthermore, he did his best to educate us beyond the basics, so that next time we are at the beach, we will be renting a board and surfing without any help. We had so much fun to the point that it felt like we were just hanging out with an old friend surfing. We are hooked and can't wait to surf again!
